Organizing Team

Mircea Arămescu Secretary-General

“Fortune favours the bold.” The quote that perfectly defines the XIVth edition of IașiMUN and Mircea’s approach to it. Coming back for the fourth time to the conference that started it all for him back in the 9th grade, he is determined to make the old “unforgettable experience” cliche a reality. And he will. By putting together everything that he has learned in the past two years and a half and in over 25 MUNs, with the talents, skills, and passion of 14 other people, his dear team, he has ensured that this MUN is set to be… Well, you’ll find out soon enough (he likes keeping people in suspense).

“Let your plans be dark and impenetrable as night, and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt.”

Ștefan Crețu President of the General Assembly

Officially retired from his career as a delegate, Ștefan is more than excited to have the opportunity to be the President of the General Assembly during this edition of IașiMUN. Since 2019, MUNs have represented Ștefan’s high school passion, influencing how he grew as a person. In his view, the first step, the first conference, is the hardest one, but it opens the door to a fascinating, intriguing world, where you can be whoever you want, truly reaching your best form.
See you in November!

Thea Chirica Head of Finance

After attending several volunteering projects, Thea knew that the MUNs represent the next step in her development. Always looking for new challenges and ready to handle stressful situations, she is honored to be Head of Finance.
Besides trying not to watch basketball games all the time, you’ll find her drinking coffee and talking about her favorite songs. She learned that the relationships between the teammates are the most important, so she is the right person for a laugh.
Look for her if you have a rough day.

“My belief is stronger than you doubt.”

Beatrice Dăscălașu Head of Finance

So, when the position of Head of Staff was offered to her, she accepted it with great enthusiasm and is ready to lend a helping hand where needed, always bringing a smile on her face, being full of energy, empathy, seriousness and care. Alexandra has many plans for the future but at the moment her biggest ambition is for this edition of IasiMUN to be a memorable one.

Maia Baciu Head of Design

If the world revolved around colored papers, scissors, glitter, watercolors, pressed flowers, pencils, and other pretty craft supplies, that would definitely be where you find her. Maia is a very creative and stubborn person (well at least she admitted that). She is always trying to find something new, a better solution to whatever problem exists and finding her limits, because I can tell you that she clearly doesn’t know when to take a break. She’s either doing 10 things at once or nothing at all but besides all of that, she is a really friendly and caring person.
